Witness the awe-inspiring sight of the Milky Way over Athabasca Glacier, amidst the rugged terrain of the Canadian Rockies at Jasper National Park, Canada. The park boasts towering peaks, serene lakes and a diverse range of wildlife. It was established in 1907 and got its name from Jasper Haws, a fur trader. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest dark-sky preserve in the world, Jasper National Park lures stargazers and nature enthusiasts alike. Over the last 100 years, due to global warming, the Athabasca Glacier has been gradually melting and has lost over half of its volume.
